Our partners and other organizations in Metro Denver and across Colorado sponsor events to increase understanding and provide support for efforts to address homelessness. 9/14 – 2017 Annual Health Summit – Interested in learning more about the health of your community? Join 2040 Partners for Health and keynote speaker, Dayna Bowen Matthew, to gain insight into community health through valuable data & information. The event will be held at the Lowry Conference Center (1061 Akron Way Building 697) and will run be broken up into specific time slots, depending on your interest. 9/19 – Project Homeless Connect – In support of low-income families and those experiencing homelessness, various organizations will be providing services and guidance at this year’s Project Homeless Connect. The event will be held from 9 a.m to 3:30 p.m in the Colorado Convention Center. Every year, hundred of volunteers are needed to make this event a success, so if you are interested in being a volunteer and making a difference, please check back here soon for more information.
9/30 – Assembly For Renter’s Rights & Affordable Housing – On Saturday, September 30th, We Organize Westminster (WOW) will hold a public assembly on housing and renter’s rights crisis in the City of Westminster. WOW leaders are calling on local elected officials to publicly support and commit to the community driven solutions as laid out in the “Westminster Housing Platform”; crafted by WOW leaders. The event will take place at Advent Lutheran Church, 7979 Meade St, Westminster at 2:00pm and you can click here to RSVP.
10/18 – Girls Night Out – October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Join Family Tree for their annual fundraiser and fashion show to say that there is no room for domestic violence. The event will take place from 6 – 9 p.m at the Lamar Street Center and we will be celebrating with music, fun, food, fashion, wine and shopping. Find tickets and more information, here.
10/20 – Stepping Up 2017: Annual Fall Gala – Join Warren Village for their Annual Fall Gala, which will take place from 6 p.m – 9:30 p.m at the The Pinnacle Club at The Grand Hyatt Denver. The evening will include a cocktail reception, silent auction, music and entertainment filled with many great prizes. Proceeds from the event will benefit low income, single-parent families working towards sustainable self-sufficiency. The night will feature stories of impact. You can register by clicking here.
