When my landlord took his house back that we were renting, my family and I were not able to find housing.

Telling my story is like sharing a personal testimony. People find understanding as well as hope when they hear other people’s experiences.

I feel so blessed to be a part of the Storytellers Network. The opportunity is healing for me personally, and I value the opportunity to give back to my community.

“We enjoyed so much having Dee come to speak at our worship service about her family’s experience with homelessness.  She was warm and articulate, and shared her story in such a way that our congregation was immediately connected with her.  Her presentation has lead to further questions about the assumptions we might make about those without homes and how we can continue to expand our awareness and caring action for those who are in need.”
